Now what do we do?

Well, my vacation began a week ago today. I finished work and school (in which I made an A) and Chris and I packed up and headed for my family's land near Boerne, Texas. Camping and swimming in the river five times a day was relaxing and fun. Now we are home.

And now what do we do?

Well, we have plans. We are planning on building a floor to ceiling bookshelf, covered area over the patio out back, pulling up carpet and installing bamboo wood floors. Sounds like we should be busy all the time, right?

I don't know. It is freakin' hot outside and we don't have the Guadalupe running through our backyard to swim in during the blistering parts of the day. And in our house (which as limited shade due to our maniac tree-cutting days and no central air) happens at 8am. Okay, okay I am exaggerating...830am.

But really. I am tired, probably from not sleeping very well on the land because I was too busy making up scenarios about bears and aliens slashing open our tent and taking off with either me or my husband and pups. Good God, right?

Anyways, now it is back to business of bill-paying and enough of the dream that one day I will own hill country land next to a river so that I might have an orchard, vineyard, gardens galore, goats, llamas and a huge rainwater collection system. The city-girl and country-girl in me will have to duke it out later since my family is going to sell the land sometime in the somewhat-near future.

Like I said, I am just tired today and I am sure I will be in a better mood the next time I write.

Ciao.
